<figure id="attachment_2716" style="width: 792px;" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Greenery-around-the-falls.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-2716" src="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Greenery-around-the-falls-300x184.jpg" alt="The lush greenery of Jawhar and its surrounding areas." width="792" height="486" /></a><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">The lush greenery of Jawhar and its surrounding areas.</figcaption></figure>
<p style="text-align: justify">The quaint village of Jawhar is a hilly forested area at the edge of Sahyadris range with  a comparatively sparse habitation. Every year with the monsoon setting in , the entire countryside is awash in lush greenery.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2717" style="width: 663px;" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-5.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-2717" src="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-5-300x225.jpg" alt="Dabhosa Waterfalls nestled in the beautiful jungle" width="663" height="497" /></a><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">Dabhosa Waterfalls nestled in the beautiful jungle</figcaption></figure>
<p style="text-align: justify">But Dabhosa’s claim to fame is its waterfalls  that lies a little less than a km out of the village. This is one of the highest waterfalls in Maharashtra near Mumbai.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><a href="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-1.jpg"><img class="alignnone wp-image-2718" src="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-1-300x200.jpg" alt="Dabhosa Waterfalls 1" width="632" height="421" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The waterfalls are surrounded by straight mountains of height not less than 600 feet on both sides and are covered with medicinal plants. The surroundings are densely forested and provide a serene location for seclusion seeking travelers. The area is unpolluted and unspoiled without much modern developments and luxuries.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2719" style="width: 573px;" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-4.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-2719" src="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-4-300x225.jpg" alt="Dabhosa Waterfalls raging down during monsoon" width="573" height="430" /></a><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">Dabhosa Waterfalls raging down during monsoon</figcaption></figure>
<p style="text-align: justify">During monsoons,  the Dabhosa waterfall becomes a raging monster. Such is the force of the waterfalls, that the spray from it makes it is impossible to look towards the waterfall when you are standing close to it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><a href="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-6.jpg"><img class="alignnone wp-image-2720" src="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-6-300x168.jpg" alt="Dabhosa Waterfalls 6" width="807" height="452" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Even when you are 20-30 mt away, it feels like you are standing in front of a giant shower. In the monsoons, getting into the pond below is impossible as the waters churns angrily and waves hit the rocky banks like a rough sea. Just standing there and observing the falls  is an exhilarating experience.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2721" style="width: 670px;" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-3.jpe"><img class=" wp-image-2721" src="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-3-300x194.jpe" alt="Youngsters enjoy themselves at the flowing stream at the base of the falls " width="670" height="433" /></a><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">Youngsters enjoy themselves at the flowing stream at the base of the falls</figcaption></figure>
<p style="text-align: justify">This waterfall is a seasonal picnic spot and the best time to visit this fall is during the monsoons i.e. from June to September, as the flow of water is full-fledged.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2723" style="width: 601px;" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-Flying-Fox-Activity-5.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-2723" src="http://www.tripplatform.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Dabhosa-Waterfalls-Flying-Fox-Activity-5-300x225.jpg" alt="Flying Fox or Zip Line in full swing at the falls." width="601" height="451" /></a><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">Flying Fox or Zip Line in full swing at the falls.</figcaption></figure>
