Darjeeling is hemmed in by Sikkim in the north, Nepal in the west and Bhutan in the east. Darjeeling town, Kalimpong and Kurseong are the major urban centers. Heavily influenced by British India, Darjeeling still carries imprints reminiscent of its colonial past. The toy train is one of the most striking examples of Darjeeling's British Raj influence. Darjeeling conjures visions of serenity, of vibrant green hills steeped in splendour, a land of breathtaking beauty crowned by the majestic Himalayas. 

Darjeeling in northeast India provides the perfect ambiance of a hill resort with its mild climate and laid back charm. Its verdant hill and valleys are steeped in color, and are interspersed with vast stretches of lush green tea gardens. Presiding over all these is the 8,586-m Mt. Kanchenjunga looming over the northern horizon, giving a magical aura to the land that entices thousands to its environs and leaves all the senses intoxicated. The flaming red rhododendrons, the sparkling white magnolias, the miles of undulating hillsides covered with emerald green tea bushes, the exotic forests of silver fir - all under the blanket of a brilliant azure sky dappled with specks of clouds, compellingly confounds Darjeeling as the QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS. 
 

Day  :  Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Bagdogra Airport.

Drive to Gangtok. Overnight(O/N) in Hotel Netuk House.

Altitude : Gangtok :1622 m.

Distance: Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok – 124 Km.

Time Taken : 5 Hrs.

Day 2: After  Breakfast  Visit  Rumtek Monastery (24 Km.),Ranka Monastery.

Back to the Hotel for Late Lunch. After Lunch Explore    Gangtok Town.

Overnight (O/N) in Hotel. 

Day 3: Drive to Tchangu Lake & Nathula Pass (India-Tibet Border).

Drive Back to Gangtok.

Overnight(O/N) in Hotel and(Breakfast Only).

Day 4: Drive Gangtok to Pelling .

Lunch at Ravangla 55 Km.from Gangtok.

Visit Pemayangtse Monastery Enroute.

Take a short walk of 40 Minutes to Visit the Rabantse Palace Ruins the Palace of the First King of Sikkim

Now an Archelogical Site protected and Maintained by the Archeological Survey of India.   

Overnight Hotel (Breakfast only).      

Altitude : Pelling – 2005m.

Distance from Gangtok:107 Km.

Time Taken : 5 Hrs.Drive from Gangtok to Pelling.

Day 5: After Breakfast Visit Sangacholing Monastery (30-40 Minutes Walk).

After Lunch Drive to Yuksom(a Small Settlement,Road Head for Dzongri-Goechla Trek).

Visit the Holy Khecheopalri Lake Enroute with its adjoining Monastery.21 Km from Pelling at an Altitude of 1600m. Visit the  Coronation Monastery in Yuksom where the Coronation of the First King of  Sikkim Took Place.

If Time Permits Take a Walk of 40 Minutes to Visit the Dubdi Monastery  Perched above Yuksom. 

Overnight (O/N) in Hotel (Breakfast only).

Altitude of Yuksom - 1560m.

Distance: Pelling to Yuksom 36Km.

Day 6: Drive to Kalimpong 124 Km.from Yuksom.

Visit Tashiding Monastery on the Way( 40 minutes Walk).

Visit the Weekly Satuarday Bazaar Where the Villagers from the Ajoining Villages come to Sell their Products.

Overnight (O/N) in Hotel (Breakfast only).

Time Taken: 5 Hrs.

Altitude of Kalimpong-1200m.

Day 7:  After Breakfast  Visit the Famous Flower Nurseries of Kalimpong.

Afternoon Drive to Darjeeling.Overnight(O/N) in Hotel (Breakfast only)

Day 8:Early Morning Drive to Tiger Hill to View the Mountain Range.   

Overnight(O/N) in Hotel. Back to the Hotel for Breakfast.

Take a ride in the Darjeeling Heritage Toy Train. Afternoon Free to Explore Darjeeling Town.

Day 9: Darjeeling Sight Seeing.

Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Centre, Happy Valley Tea Estate

Overnight(O/N) in Hotel(Breakfast only).

Day 10: Drive to Bagdogra Airport for Final Departure.
