About the Activity:

The hike starts from Mcleodganj and back to Mcleodganj, the total distance covered is of 18 km and the maximum elevation is 2975m and start at 8.30 am everyday

Leave Mcleodganj after early breakfast and walk through the mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees. This is the most popular day hike. The trail is well marked all the way up to Triund. From Mcleodganj it is 3/4 hours steep ascent to Triund. Small tea shops on the way can provide good refreshments. Triund is an alpine meadow situates atop a flat ridge with fine views of peaks of Dhauladhars on one side a Kangra valley on the other side. After light lunch at Triund start descending to Mcleodganj. Take the same route on the way back or follow the grassy ridge which will lead to Bhagsu Nag Temple, after crossing a small waterfall on the way. Mcleodganj is only 1.5 Km from the Bhagsu Nag by road.
