31st Jan Day Trek Ghosalgad-Kudachi Leni-TalagadDetailed DescriptionSummary: A fort on the top of hill has been named Ghosalgad after the village Ghosala below. A hike to the fort from the base is not much and there is an easy path to the top. A water pond named Wajta Haud, remnants of watch tower, fortified wall, temple of Bhavani and Ganapati, water cisterns etc. can be seen atop. The Tala fort lies east west at a height of 1000 feet above the sea level in Tala town in Maharashtra. The fort is separated from the rest of the hill by a wide gap. Kuda caves, famous for Buddhist caves. In many of the caves in Kuda hills, there are evidences to testify that monks used them as dwelling places. The inscriptions, letters and paintings in the Kuda hills shows that these caves are built in during first to sixth centuary B.C. Set up on a hilly terrain, the Kuda caves give a magnificent view of the valley below.

Trek Description: Departure Date & Time:31 January by Sharp 06.00 am from SP College, Tilak Road. Arrival Date & Time: :31 January around 10.30 pm at SP College, Tilak Road. Meeting Time and Place::31 January at SP College, Tilak Road by sharp 05.30 am. Give attendance to the Team Explorers. 06.00 am After attendance bus will depart for Ghosalgad. 08.30 am Breakfast on the way. 10.00 am Reach at base village, after briefing Start trek towards Ghosalgad. Washrooms are not available in a Journey & at Base Village. 11.00 am Reach At top of Ghosalgad. Explore the fort. 11.30 am Start descending. 12.00 pm Reach at Base village. Start journey towards Kuda Caves. 01.00 pm Reach at Kuda caves. Explore the Cave. 01.45 pm Move towards Tala fort. 02.30 pm Lunch in a Local Hotel. 03.30 pm Start trekking towards Tala Fort. 04.15 pm Reach to a top of Tala Fort. Explore the Fort. 05.30 pm Reach base village. Start return journey towards Pune. Tea and snacks on the way. 09.30 pm Reach at Pune, S.P. College.
