A Perfect way to experience Rural India
Palghar is geographically a rich hilly station surrounded by Sahyadri mountain ranges on the east and Arabic Ocean on the west. This place has got a dense vegetation cover of jungles having large variety of trees and birds.
Mainly it is a Tribal area and Kokana, Warali, Hatkari, K Thakur, M Thakur are some of the Adiwasis residing here. Geographical prosperity, rich biodiversity, lifestyle in sync with nature has developed a unique tribal culture & village system over years.
Purpose of the Vanyatra: Today, due to rapid urbanization the society has been virtually split into two parts, rural and urban. Due to a difference in lifestyle, availability of resources and access to technology rural & urban people feel disconnected from each other.
Urban population somewhere faces the ill effects of urbanisation such as pollution, busy lifestyle, presence of chemicals in food etc. On the other side, still there are villages that have preserved the lifestyle in alignment with the nature. Vanyatra is an endeavor to provide a platform to Urban citizens to experience cultural, social and natural wealth of our villages and to spend some time there to know the village lifestyle, food and celebrate festivals
