There are private taxis and luxury buses available in addition to the Maharashtra State transport semi-luxury, luxury and ordinary buses. After the construction of a new highway, tourist can drive down to Mahableshwar, as it is only a five-hour drive from Mumbai.
Once you reach Mahableshwar, the Dhobi Waterfalls is situated on a bridle path connecting Petit Road with Old Mahabaleshwar Road, about three km away from Mahabaleshwar. It is advisable to hire local guide to reach the waterfalls.
