How to Get There Locations: Majuli Island is about 300 Kms east of Guwahati & 20 Kms away from Jorhat. By road: Jorhat is connected by road to Guwahati(Assam). It takes arounf 6-7 Hours to reach Jorhat from Guwahati. From Jorhat it is only 14 Kms to Nimatighat, from where regular Government ferry services every morning & afternoon are available. By train: The nearest train station is Jorhat. By air: The closest airport is also at Jorhat. There are daily flights to Jorhat from Guwahati, and four flights a week from Kolkata.
