About the Activity

There are 2 types of Package:

1) A half-day sunset tour departing at 1:30pm and returning after sunset (around 9:30PM) on the same day.

2) A one-day tour departing at 6am and returning after sunset (about 9:30pm) the same day.

Package 1:

A half-day sunset tour departing at 1:30pm and returning after sunset (around 9:30PM) on the same day.

After traveling out of Jaisalmer via jeep you will visit an oasis and a fort and ruins of a village. We will then drive you to our starting camp, where you’ll meet your guides and camels. After getting ready on your camel, you and your guides will set off for the dunes, which you’ll reach in time for sunset. Our guides will cook a freshly prepared Indian meal while you watch the sun go down. After sunset, you’ll return to Jaisalmer by jeep.

Note: It is also possible for us to arrange jeep only sunset tours if you do not want to ride a camel.

Package 2:

A one-day tour departing at 6am and returning after sunset (about 9:30pm) the same day.

If you chose this option you will travel by jeep to a desert village to learn about desert way of life and watch sunrise. You will then meet your camels and guides and have breakfast, leaving soon after for a couple of hours camel riding. A lunch break will allow you some resting time, the taste of a freshly cooked lunch and a relaxing nap in the shade.

You will then follow itinerary 1 for the camel ride through the dunes, dinner, sunset (this tour does not include the stop at the oasis/fort/ ruins).
