About the Activity

It is a fantastic way to experience the wonders of the desert. In addition of riding your camels, you’ll have a chance to sleep on the sweeping desert dunes under the light of the Milky Way.

This Tour include a stop at village desert (early morning depart/late afternoon return according to package) the visit of an oasis, fort, old village ruins…., sunset, sunrise (depending of departing/returning time according to package) and appropriate meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, depending of your departing/returning time).

These options are for our non-touristic, off the beaten track safaris for which we specialize. This is the option we recommend as the touristic areas can be very crowded (some dunes even have their own restaurants) and it can be nice to get a little further off the beaten path. On our non-touristic safaris, you often won’t see another tourist during the entire trip. Fresh food, unlimited mineral water, mattresses, blankets, and one camel per person are included.

Also, if you are doing an overnight safari, you can choose to spend the night in a tent for an additional 200Rs per person. However, spending the night out in the open under the stars can be a truly magical experience.
Although you won’t need any camping supplies for your safari, be sure to bring strong sun block on your trip, as well as a long-sleeve shirt and trousers. If you’re traveling light, it is possible to purchase these here in Jaisalmer (clothes here are very inexpensive). A flashlight might also come in handy for late night toilet runs.
