Trekking at Dukes Nose, KhandalaDetailed DescriptionDuke's Nose is also known as Nagphani or Cobra's Hood. 'Nagfani' is named after Duke Wellington, who had a pointed nose resembling the cliff. Nagphani (Duke's Nose) appears almost inaccessible, but it is a surprisingly simple trek to reach the summit from the southern approach.
The most prominent rock structure that overhangs from the valley to the right when we drive up to Lonavala is Duke's Nose.The trek start from Khandala and head steeply upwards to hit the plateau. Right on the top of the Duke's Nose is small temple. As you climb the Khandala Ghat, Duke's Nose looks like an alarming apex. It has earned great fame and is considered to be easy to hike. Duke's Nose trek in Maharashtra is a very pleasurable trek. Just keep your water bottles filled to the brim always as drinkable water is difficult to be found on the way and enjoy the climb to the Cobra's Hood.
An interesting trek and a breathtaking view!!! A must see for all travel addicts. Duration It is a one day trip which starts at Lonavla and ends on the same day at around 8 pm.A minimum of 10 persons required in a group for this trek.

How to get there If you come from Mumbai, via Mumbai- Pune expressway , distance will be 84.7km and would take 1 hr and 23 minutes. If you come via Pune ,via Mumbai- Pune expressway, the distance is 69.6 km and would take 1hr and 6 minutes.
