About the Activity:

The Indus Valley is one of the world's earliest urban civilizations, along with its contemporaries, Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. At its peak, the Indus Civilization may have had a population of well over five million. Inhabitants of the ancient Indus river valley developed new techniques in handicraft (carnelian products, seal carving) and metallurgy (copper, bronze, lead, and tin). The civilization is noted for its cities built of brick, roadside drainage system, and multistoried houses.

Day 01. Arrival Welcome at the Leh Airport and transfer to Hotel A Class , Until lunch you have to take rest and after lunch at 3P.M your guide will take you to explore the main Bazar and small allays of Leh ,Overnight in Hotel.(day for acclimatization) !!!!

Day 02. Today after breakfast at 9 AM you will start from your Hotel in private Cars (maximum 5 person in car ) to visit Hall of Fame, the Maa Kali Mandir at Spituk, Guruduwara Pather Sahaib, Magnetic Hill, Confluence (sangam)of River Indus and Zansker and then return your hotel for lunch- at 3.30 Pm drive again to visit the Sindhu Ghat, Thiksay Monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03. Today you will drive to the highest motorable Pass in the world (Khardongla 18380 feet/5570 mtrs.) and drive back to your hotel for lunch , after lunch at 3Pm you will visit the Leh Royal palace ,Tsemo monastery and Shanti Stupa (Japanese Pagoda), the visit of the pagoda is more intresting if you could visit during sun set to have a great and secnificant view of Leh town and surrounding mountains - overnight in Hotel.

Day 04. You have to wake up very early today to have your breakfast as you will start sharp at 6 A.M towards the Brakish Lake of Ladakh , situated between India and China, through the villages of Shey, Kharu, Tegar Sakti, Changla Pass (5393 mtrs), Durbuk, Tangtse Mukleb villages/hamlets, you can visite the lake up to Man/ merak hamlet/villages situated at the bank of the Pangong Lake- you will have your lunch at the restaurant at the bank of Pangong lake and drive back to Leh through the same road in almost 5 hours-Overnight in Hotel.

Day 05. Today you will get your early morning airport transfer to catch the Leh- Delhi flight and We the team of Ladakh alps adventure wishes you a happy ,safe and memorable trip.

How to Get There:

Road Journeys: The main overland approach to Ladakh is either from the Kashmir Valley via the 434 km Srinagar-Leh road which remains open for traffic from early June to November. The most dramatic part of this road journey is the ascent up the 11,500 feet/3,505 m high Zoji-la, the pass in the Great Himalayan Wall that serves as the gateway to Ladakh.Taxis (cars and jeeps) are also available at Srinagar for the journey. Groups can charter buses for Leh, Kargil or Padum (Zanskar) at Srinagar.

Since 1989, the 475 km Manali-Leh road has been serving as the second land approach to Ladakh. Open for traffic from around mid-June to early October, this high road traverses the upland desert plateaux of Rupshu whose altitude ranges from 3,660m to 4,570m. A number of high passes fall in route among which the highest one, known Taglang-la, is the world's second highest motorable pass at an altitude 17,469 feet / 5,325 m. The bus journey between Leh and Manali takes about 19 hours or two days with an overnight halt camps at Serchu.

AirTravel: Leh, the capital has one of the highest airport in the world. It's almost the only way to access the area from november onwards until may, as mountain passes are closed. Indian Airlines operates regular scheduled flights to Leh from Delhi Chandigarh, Jammu and Srinagar. Some private airlines like Jet Airways,King fisher/Air Deccan , Go Air are also operates air services between Delhi and Leh few times a week.
