Arrival WEL COME at the airport -transfer to hotel , half day is reserved for acclimatization, visit by private Car/ Cars Leh Palace, Tsemo monastery and drop at Shanti stupa to have an excellent view of Leh town during sun set and walk down yourselves to hotel via exploring Leh Bazar, overnight in Hotel /Guest House. Day 02. After having breakfast in the hotel ,Visit Sindhu Ghat (Indus river), Shey palace /monastery (the former capitail of Ladakh) -Thiksay (also known as little Potala) -Hemis (the biggest Monastery of Ladakh) monasteries and Stok Palace Mesuem(the present residence of the Royal family of Ladakh). Overnight in Hotel/Guest House. Day 03. Today you will visit , Hall of fame, Spituk Monastery (Mah Kali Mandir), Guruduwara Pather sahaib,Magnetic Hill, Sangam (confluence of indus and Zansker) , Likir and Alchi monasteries - overnight in Hotel/Guest House. Day 04. Leh -Pangong lake Leh. Day 05.: Leh -Diskit (Nubra Valley):- Drive almost 5 hours to Diskit , after check in the Hotel and having tea etc visit the Diskit Monastery and Hunder village in the afternoon. Option.: You can enjoy Double Hump (Becterian) camel ride in the Sand dune between Hunder and Diskit villages of your own. Overnight in Hotel in Diskit. Day 06.: After breakfast in the Hotel - visit Sumoor monastery and drive back to Leh via Khardongla pass (Highest motorable pass in the world 5570 mtrs/18380 feet), afternoon is reserved for shopping in Leh- overnight in hotel/Guest House. Day 07.: Early morning Airport-Transfer to get your flight for Delhi. Inclusions & Exclusions: A Class Hotel A.P Plan + Transport of INNOVA Car Note. : Hotel A class /Guest House will be @ Double Room and with Breakfast- Lunch and dinner are not included, as there are very good restaurants of your choice and budget in Leh and around. How to Get There: Road Journeys: The main overland approach to Ladakh is either from the Kashmir Valley via the 434 km Srinagar-Leh road which remains open for traffic from early June to November. The most dramatic part of this road journey is the ascent up the 11,500 feet/3,505 m high Zoji-la, the pass in the Great Himalayan Wall that serves as the gateway to Ladakh.Taxis (cars and jeeps) are also available at Srinagar for the journey. Groups can charter buses for Leh, Kargil or Padum (Zanskar) at Srinagar. Since 1989, the 475 km Manali-Leh road has been serving as the second land approach to Ladakh. Open for traffic from around mid-June to early October, this high road traverses the upland desert plateaux of Rupshu whose altitude ranges from 3,660m to 4,570m. A number of high passes fall in route among which the highest one, known Taglang-la, is the world's second highest motorable pass at an altitude 17,469 feet / 5,325 m. The bus journey between Leh and Manali takes about 19 hours or two days with an overnight halt camps at Serchu. AirTravel: Leh, the capital has one of the highest airport in the world. It's almost the only way to access the area from november onwards until may, as mountain passes are closed. Indian Airlines operates regular scheduled flights to Leh from Delhi Chandigarh, Jammu and Srinagar. Some private airlines like Jet Airways,King fisher/Air Deccan , Go Air are also operates air services between Delhi and Leh few times a week. Applicable Seasons: March to October |
