Detailed Description

Wayanad District, in the north-east of Kerala , India , was formed on November 1 , 1980 as the 12th district, carved out of Kozhikode and Kannur districts. The etymology of the word Wayanad is Vayal (paddy) Naad (land); 'Land of Paddy Fields'. There are many indigeneous tribals in this area. It is set lofty on the majestic Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2100 Metres above mean sea level.

Ride through the heart of the Wayanad wildlife belt, over tribal lands, mud trails and even a bamboo raft

Itinerary 3: (7 hours trail)   “Green Hills To Blue Waters”

Bike through tea and coffee country to a speed boat ride between islands and then hike to a mountain stream

These trails are of moderate difficulty. Ride covers places like Country Roads, Speedboat, Lake, Islands, Forest Trail, Stream

Itinerary 4: (7 hours trail)  “The Roller Coaster Ride”

Depart from cool tea country and arrive at bamboo forests over smooth yet wickedly undulating roads

These trails are of intense difficulty. Ride covers locations like Tea Plantations, Forests, Towns, Panoramic views

Itinerary 5: (7 hours trail)  “The Tales and Tails Trail”

Bike the scenic trails through a river valley and forest to visit an ancient temple and then ride out to a wildlife safari

Itinerary 6: (7 hours trail)  “The Two Leaf And Bud Ride”

Ride over smooth roads cutting across state boundaries through spectacular tea gardens and plantation towns
