Tandem Paragliding of 30 min from Bir

Paragliding is the most pure and natural form of flying sport in today’s world. It is an engineless aircraft that weighs around 10kg and fits easily into a rucksack.  By using the energy of the sun and rising currents of warm air, paragliders can stay aloft for many hours and travel many miles. A noise and pollution free aircraft that is easily foot launched and landed, paragliding is becoming an increasing popular adventure sport.A relatively new sport, paragliding started 20 years ago in the Alps of France. It has developed into a professional sport with international competitions and a professional World Cup circuit. With over 500,000 pilots worldwide there is paragliding in almost every country in the world.Paragliding came to India in the early 1990s, through a handful of adventures paragliding pilots from various countries who  started exploring different regions all over India, notably Manali and Bir in the north, and Goa and around Pune in the South. It soon caught on with the locals, and paragliding pilots from around the world. Now there are several well established paragliding sites around India, and surely many more waiting to be discovered
