About the Activity:

Day01: Arrive at kuflon by lunch / tea time. Camp briefing, check into tents and relax. Campfire dinner and overnight at kuflon

DAY02: Begin your day with an early morning bird watching hike (2-3 hrs). The walk sticks to the road along the assiganga stream. The best place for sightings of dippers, white capped redstarts or score a few lifers catching an occasional hungry Himalayan kingfisher. Return to camp for a home cooked buffet breakfast. At noon packed lunch by a totally secluded water pool. Tea at camp is followed with a small excursion to the village of kuflon. Campfire, followed with dinner. Overnight at camp.

DAY03: After breakfast, carry packed lunch and trek 2 hrs up the valley of the assi ganga to seku village. Enroute, visit the trout breeding farm and the forest department managed herbarium. Trek back to kuflon by tea time. Relax over a campfire dinner. Overnight kuflon.

DAY04: After breakfast, depart for onward destination.

Inclusions & Exclusions:

Cost includes: tented / room accommodation on twin share, all meals, all equipment, professional guide fee, soft drinks.

Cost excludes: transport to camp and back, expenses of a personal nature.

ACCOMMODATION:

We have 2 rooms with attached toilets. The flooring is wooden. Both rooms lead to a balcony overlooking the camp. Besides, we have 5 tents (without attached toilets). The tents have a permanent base and are furnished with twin beds and two cane chairs. Since there is no electricity, lanterns are provided for the late evenings.

Food & Hygiene: There is a common dining area where all meals / tea / snacks are served. The food is mainly cooked from grains and vegetables grown at camp or in nearby villages. The main menu has some Garhwali delicacies. The water in the dining area is filtered.

Toilets: The tents do not have attached washroom and toilets. A common concrete toilet with w/c and cold water is provided for tented accommodation. Bathrooms are fitted with showers. Room accommodation has an attached toilet / bath with w/c, shower and cold water.

Hot water is provided in buckets

Kuflon Basics is only 385 kms from New Delhi. A 10 hour drive (non-stop) if you start early (4 am).
