The waterfalls got its name ‘Dhobi Waterfalls’, as once upon a time, it was once a very prominent washing place.The mighty Dhobi Waterfall is situated at a distance of 3 Km from Mahabaleshwar town, and connects Elphinstone Point with Lodwick Point.

How to Reach

By Rail:

Mahabaleshwar is 120 km from Pune via Panchgani, and is the closest Railway station.

The city of Pune is the normal departure point for Mahabaleshwar although Satara Railway Station(60 km) is also closest and convenient railway station.

By Road:

Mahabaleshwar is well connected by road with Mumbai and Pune, and other important cities of Maharashtra. There are private taxis and luxury buses available in addition to the Maharashtra State transport semi-luxury, luxury and ordinary buses. After the construction of a new highway, tourist can drive down to Mahableshwar, as it is only a five-hour drive from Mumbai.

Once you reach Mahableshwar, the Dhobi Waterfalls is situated on a bridle path connecting Petit Road with Old Mahabaleshwar Road, about three km away from Mahabaleshwar. It is advisable to hire local guide to reach the waterfalls.
